The inclusion of road safety in the SDGs is belated recognition that road crashes lead to appallingly high numbers of death and debilitating injury, which places a huge cost to development, society, and the economy. This interactive workshop examined the safety and economic benefits of achieving the said SDG target and assessed the role that road infrastructure can play in advancing road safety.
