Ayushman Bhatt joined the Asian Development Bank Institute (ADBI) as a Capacity Building and Training Associate in May 2020.

His research interests include infrastructure development and management, transport economics, transport policy, high-speed railway, applied econometrics, and experimental approaches in infrastructure policy. He is a Ph.D. candidate in civil engineering at the University of Tokyo.
