Poor management operation and maintenance affects the water-energy-food nexus. An unsuccessful public irrigation management is the result of an unreliable and insufficient approach. A huge potential exists for the private sector to participate in and contribute to addressing the challenges of irrigation management.

The presentation discusses Asian Development Bank's Urban Operational Plan. The three levels of green city initiatives and the available nexus approaches to green cities are examined. It also offers suggestions on how green city initiatives from the water sector can be achieved.
