In Asia, there is a need to ensure equal treatment to migrant domestic workers under national labor laws and improve their access to legal information and social services.

Singapore is largely dependent on a transient population of migrant women to cook, clean, and care. It has adopted policies and better approaches to improve the protection and working conditions of these women but many challenges remain.

Participants in this session work together to create a strategy and draw up a list of essential rules to effectively regulate private recruitment agencies.

Participants in this session break out into two groups to make a list of recommendations or guidelines on what should be included in a standard employment contract and how it should be used.
