Asem CHAKENOVA is Senior Project Officer in Kazakhstan Resident Mission, Asian Development Bank. She supports infrastructure operations, including transport in Kazakhstan. Asem is also involved in knowledge exchange and collaboration initiatives and mobilizing ADB resource assistance.

With more than 15 years of experience working in KARM ADB, Asem has been involved in all stages of the project cycle, starting from country assistance programming, loan and TA processing, and implementation. She is a team member for ADB’s road sector and urban infrastructure projects in

The Cambridge Centre for Alternative Finance Online Course on Fintech & Regulatory Innovation built knowledge and capacity in technology-enabled financial and regulatory innovation for the policymaking and regulatory community. Topics covered foundational technologies in fintech, banking regulatory reform, payment innovation offices, alternative capital raising regulatory sandboxes, fintech credit regtech/suptech, cryptoassets and distributed ledger technology, and international and regulatory cooperation.

Knowledge Sharing among ADB Member Countries

Some countries in Asia and the Pacific have taken creative and out-of-the box initiatives through public policies and public and private investments. Discussions in this session focus on what has been done so far and adopted by member countries of the Asian Development Bank. Albert Dean Atkinson

Albert Dean Atkinson is the Former Director of ADB’s Knowledge Support Division in the Department of Communications. Atkinson has been in ADB for more than 15 years, working across the knowledge, library sciences, and human resource domains.

His background and academic training are in Agriculture, Education, Psychology and Administration. Prior to ADB, worked at the International Rice Research Institute, Hewlett-Packard, General Electric Medical Systems, and several private and public schools as a teacher, principal, and superintendent.
