Albert Dean Atkinson

Albert Dean Atkinson is the Former Director of ADB’s Knowledge Support Division in the Department of Communications. Atkinson has been in ADB for more than 15 years, working across the knowledge, library sciences, and human resource domains.

His background and academic training are in Agriculture, Education, Psychology and Administration. Prior to ADB, worked at the International Rice Research Institute, Hewlett-Packard, General Electric Medical Systems, and several private and public schools as a teacher, principal, and superintendent.

Ranisha Basnet

Ranisha has more than 5 years of experience in knowledge management in the off-grid sector. She has worked with many national and international organizations to develop different knowledge products (webinars, database and knowledge portals) and also designed campaigns to raise awareness about the trending off-grid energy topics. Currently, she is writing her master thesis on “ Gender and Renewable Energy Mini Grids” and is attending the master program, Renewable Energy Engineering and Management at the University of Freiburg, Germany.

Jouko Sarvi

Jouko Sarvi coordinated policy and strategy on ADB's support to education development in Central and West Asia region. He led knowledge sharing on good practice and innovation in education development, and coordinates external partnerships in the sector in the region.

Emma Allen

Emma joined ADB’s Lao PDR Indonesia Resident Mission in 2020 as their country economist supporting the economics, strategy, and programming unit. Prior to this she was country economist for ADB’s Indonesia Resident Mission between 2016 and 2020. Prior to joining ADB, Emma was a Labor Market Economist with the International Labor Organization and worked in several locations, including South Africa, Geneva, Tanzania and Indonesia.

Aziz Haydarov

Aziz, a national of Tajikistan, joined ADB in 2009 as a Young Professional (Economics). In 2011-2012 he continued there as Country Economist. From 2013–to March 2015, he was a PPP Specialist at the Southeast Asia Department’s Public Management and Finance Division. From April 2015 to June 2017, he was an Infrastructure Economist in the Indonesia Resident Mission. From June 2017–June 2020, Aziz was with Azerbaijan Resident Mission as Senior Portfolio Management Specialist.
