He is currently a full professor in the Department of Computer Engineering and Dean of College of Software Convergence at Dankook University, Korea. He was a visiting scientist of IBM Watson Research Center in 1991 and a visiting scholar of the University of California, Irvine from 2001 to 2002. He is now the president of KIISE(Korean Institute of Information Scientists and Engineers).
