High-level policymakers and experts discussed and explored the exciting potential of low Earth orbit (LEO) satellites in expanding broadband access, encouraging investment in new broadband technologies, and bringing more users online, especially in geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas in the Philippines.

Daron Acemoglu

Daron Acemoglu is Elizabeth and James Killian Professor of Economics in the Department of Economics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He has received a BA in economics at the University of York, 1989, M.Sc. in mathematical economics and econometrics at the London School of Economics, 1990, and Ph.D. in economics at the London School of Economics in 1992.

Vikash Jha

Currently, Vikash is the Founder - C.E.O of RuKart. He founded RuKart along with two other IIT Bombay alums in 2019. Mr. Jha did M.Tech in Technology & Development from CTARA at IIT Bombay. During his masters program, he has shown interest in developing scalable green technologies for small plot holders. This led to grant support from IIT Bombay after completing his M.Tech. He & his team developed technologies like Subjee Cooler and Peek-Rakshak in a participatory approach where the end-users were an integral part of the design team.

Tserensambuu Nurenzedgombo

Tserensambuu Nurenzedgombo is a ICT and Public procurement expert with 15 years of experience in web application development, system analysis, business architecture and ICT development including work for governmental projects, 10 years of experience in Public Procurement.

Currently, He is the Head of Electronic Procurement and Information technology division in the State procurement agency of Mongolia.  In this role, he leads design and development of e-Procurement system of Mongolia.
