Pakistan Training Manual 2: Gender Sensitization Training for Gender-Based Violence Cases

This training manual contains the presentations corresponding to each session of the Gender Sensitization Training for Gender-based Violence Cases. Additionally, it provides easy reference to the international treaties, human rights instruments, national laws, and global and domestic jurisprudence discussed in all the session presentations.

Legal Literacy for Women

This regional capacity development technical assistance (R-CDTA) is designed to address a plethora of issues affecting gender equality in the legal and related sectors and to plug significant gaps among institutions. It aims to strengthen the capacity of investigating, prosecuting, and decision making bodies and equip women with adequate knowledge of their rights to access social and legal justice leading to a stronger, more inclusive society. It also aims to leverage existing networks and initiatives for a more nationwide reach.

The United Nations Multi-Country Study on Men and Violence in Asia and the Pacific: Implications for Gender-Based Violence Programming

This presentation focuses on prevalent patterns of men, violence against women, and known risk factors. It argues for the use of research, theory, and evidence to drive prevention programming; presents findings to support theories on masculinities; and calls for gender transformative approaches.

Freedom from Violence

This presentation emphasizes gender-based violence (GBV) as a development challenge, with particular focus on Intimate Partner Violence. It explains how the issue can be addressed by providing program and policy evidence of what works for preventing violence, including legal reform; boosting positive gender norms; social support and services; economic empowerment; and integrating GBV into other sectoral interventions.
