This presentation emphasizes gender-based violence (GBV) as a development challenge, with particular focus on Intimate Partner Violence. It explains how the issue can be addressed by providing program and policy evidence of what works for preventing violence, including legal reform; boosting positive gender norms; social support and services; economic empowerment; and integrating GBV into other sectoral interventions.
