As IRRI’s Representative Director for Asia, Jongsoo coordinates the institute's activities and ensures that the strategies of IRRI are aligned with the priorities and needs of the region. Jongsoo was IRRI’s representative in Myanmar from 2016 to 2019. Prior to rejoining IRRI as Asia Representative, he worked as the Director General and Country Director of Korea Trade Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA).

Mr. Stefanos Fotiou is an accomplished expert on sustainable development currently serving as Director, Office of SDGs in FAO; under this capacity he is also serving as Director of the UN Food Systems Coordination Hub. Prior to joining FAO, Stefanos served 16 years in the UN Secretariat, including 6 years as Director in the Environment and Development Division of the UNESCAP as well as 10 years in the UNEP. Before joining the UN, he had worked for the private sector and academia on issues of regional sustainable development.

Shinichiro Fujimori is a professor at Kyoto University, Department of Environmental Engineering. He is also a visiting researcher at NIES and in Energy program at IIASA. Dr. Fujimori’s main fields of scientific interest include integrated assessment modeling in climate change mitigation as well as its impact and adaptation. Furthermore, his model representation covers broader sense of global social/environmental issues and their assessments such as poverty, food security, and biodiversity.
