Indra Gunawan

Indra is a farmer from West Java Indonesia. During his study in agricultural businesses diploma of Padjadjaran University in Bandung Indonesia, he worked as an apprentice in a mushroom farming. After completing his study, he worked in a manufacturing industry in Japan for three years before returning to Indonesia and working in a cow farm. He then started his own mushroom farming. For the past five years, his focus has been on planting paddy. He is currently working with a group of farmers in the effort to build/ manage irrigation system. 

Ganpat Parthe

Ganpat has been growing strawberries in the western ghats of Maharashtra (Mahabaleshwar) over the last 27 years. In the last four years, he has been practicing organic farming. Ganpat has been certified as organic farmer and is currently chairing the Agro-Organic Farmers Group. Apart from Strawberry cultivation, Mr. Parthe is practicing apiculture (honeybee keeping). He has been awarded as ‘Udyan Pandit’ (Horticulture Specialist) by the Government of Maharashtra. 

Fatima Moniz Soares

Fatima Moniz Soares is currently taking Economy Management at Dili University (UNDIL). She is highly motivated to do something for the youth and to help her community and her country, Timor-Leste. When she started her studies, she began thinking of coffee as a source of income for farmers. She is learning about coffee so she can work with farmers and collaborate int producing high quality coffee.
