Implementing a Green Recovery in Southeast Asia

As countries begin to recover from the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic, policy makers must decide what type of economic recovery they want to pursue. Will they choose measures that continue with existing “business-as-usual” economic structures that have a negative impact on the environment? Or will they take up the challenge of rebuilding in a way that ensures an economically and environmentally resilient future?

Keynote Lecture: Enhancing Environmental Sustainability in Asia-Pacific: Role of ADB

Tomoyuki Kimura, Director General of ADB's Strategy, Policy, and Partnerships Department gave a keynote lecture during the Opening Plenary of the International Symposium on Education and Research in Global Environmental Studies in Asia organized by Kyoto University on 26 November 2019. He presented an overview of ADB's integrated approach that combines finance, knowledge, and partnerships under Strategy 2030 and engaged with experts and scholars in discussions to enhance environmental sustainability in Asia and the Pacific.

Brief Presentation on Perspective "Asia's Journey to Prosperity" Publication

This presentation gives an overview of how the book explores how the economies of Asia and the Pacific have been transformed in the 50 years since ADB was established. Key aspects of the transformation range from the role of markets and institutions to macro-economic policy, agricultural modernization, the role of infrastructure development, environmental sustainability, and regional cooperation.

Virtual Launch of the ADB-CDRI E-Library and ADB’s Flagship Publication - ‘Asia’s Journey to Prosperity’

ADB and the Cambodia Development Resource Institute (CDRI) organized this virtual event to launch a new partnership between the two organizations. Under this partnership, CDRI has been designated as a ‘Depository Library’ for ADB publications. This e-library will facilitate easier access to ADB research and publications for all stakeholders within Cambodia.
