Future of Skills Development in the time of COVID-19

Presentation on transforming TVET systems for countries to transition short-term TVET goals to the medium and long-term as they mitigate COVID-19 impacts and accelerate recovery and rejuvenation. TVET policy options in shaping labor market outcomes, adapting and responding to anticipated changes especially with Industry 4.0, and leveraging TVET and the role of regional cooperation for post COVID-19 economic recovery highlighted.

Future of Skills Development in the time of COVID-19

The fourteenth Policy Actions for COVID-19 Economic Recovery (PACER) Dialogue on “Future of Skills Development in the time of COVID-19” discussed policy measures that can build a competitive workforce and shape labor market outcomes. Over 100 government officials from Southeast Asia and the People’s Republic of China participated in the Dialogue, sharing country experiences and lessons on TVET policies and solutions taken to mitigate the negative effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and accelerate recovery and rejuvenation.
