Yumiko is a Senior Education Specialist at the ADB’s Southeast Asia Department based in Manila, Philippines. Her areas of expertise include education and skills development sector planning, education system strengthening and education financing. She obtained a Master of Education and Development (University of East Anglia, UK). She has worked for Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), UNICEF, World Bank, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Japan.

Carlos Vasquez designs and builds schools in the context of emergency. He also supports governments in the development of design norms and standards. He advocates with partners and stakeholders on the improvement of learning environments.
