Le Roux Cronje

Le Roux is part of the Learning and Innovation team of DT Global, responsible for data governance and security for their USAID and Data.Fi projects. He designs, implements, and evaluates governance capabilities aligned to the project’s unique stakeholder arrangement and applicable data regulatory environments such as GDPR. He also worked as a data and cybersecurity expert on various waste management projects and understands the data opportunities and risks associated with the digitalization of value chains.

AASCTF Guided Learning Program Home Exercise Module 2

This home exercise, which was part of the AASCTF Guided Learning Program course provided an introduction to data governance in a city setting and how it can be applied in an organization, highlighting the challenges cities face in making accurate data available and maintaining it in a secure environment. It aimed at giving an understanding of the significance of data governance and security in smart cities; concepts and principles of data protection; and security and methods for meeting data protection and security requirements.

Donya Sheikh Khan

Dr. Donya Sheikh Khan is a senior specialist in Ramboll specialized in data-driven services and data management for the built environment. She has been involved in a large-scale data analytic project for the Danish Energy Agency, a conceptual data strategy for a global real estate company in relation to their carbon-neutral strategy, a carbon pathway analysis for an investment company, etc.
