Charibeth Cheng

Charibeth Cheng currently works at the Department of Software Technology, De La Salle University. Charibeth does research in Artificial Intelligence, Databases, and Computing in Social science, Arts, and Humanities. Her projects are related to the development of language resources and tools for the Philippine languages, as well as the use of these tools in solving problems.

Daron Acemoglu

Daron Acemoglu is Elizabeth and James Killian Professor of Economics in the Department of Economics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He has received a BA in economics at the University of York, 1989, M.Sc. in mathematical economics and econometrics at the London School of Economics, 1990, and Ph.D. in economics at the London School of Economics in 1992.

Fang Chen

Distinguished Professor Chen is a thought leader in AI and data science. She has created many world-class AI innovations while working in Intel, Motorola, NICTA, CSIRO and now UTS, and helped governments and industries utilising data and significantly increasing productivity, safety and customer satisfaction. She won “Oscar Prize” in Australian science – Australian Museum Eureka Prize 2018 for Excellence in Data Science.
