This workshop aims to:

build an understanding of the Philippine government priorities on strengthening reef resilience and sustainable management of coral reef ecosystems, including how this could enhance surfing and other marine-based tourism in Siargao;
outline the intended approach for assessing risk transfer / reef insurance opportunities within a pilot location in Siargao, including how this could serve as a model for other coastal municipalities, and;
gather insights for the detail assessment of the pilot location in Siargao.
