Profile / Bio: 

Thiam Hee (Bernard) Ng is a Director in Regional Cooperation and Operations Coordination Division, South Asia Department with the Asian Development Bank. He leads ADB's regional cooperation activities in South Asia and also manages ADB operations in the Maldives. Prior to this role, he carried out research on economics and regional cooperation issues in South East Asia. He also worked in the Strategy and Policy Department where he managed the allocation of concessional resources and policies relating to ADB’s poorest countries. 

He also managed the Asian Bonds Online web portal and prepared the Asia Bond Monitor, a quarterly report on Asia's local currency bond market developments. Before joining Asian Development Bank, he worked at the United Nations Industrial Development Organization and Bank Negara Malaysia. He received his PhD and MSc in Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in the USA; and my Bachelor in Economics from the University of Cambridge in the UK. He is a CFA charter holder since 1999.
