Investment in infrastructure development and other development project is on a significant rise in Nepal in recent years. Thus there is a clear need for a uniform approach in determining compensation and resettlement and rehabilitation of the people who are affected due to land acquisition for the projects. The people of the project area are pushed to the brink of displacement when such projects are executed.
