and Acquisition, Resettlement and Rehabilitation for Infrastructure Development Project, 2014 has been formulated with the objective of providing services like compensation, resettlement and rehabilitation to the affected people depending on the nature of effects, so as to help them keep their social and economic sitpations before the project or help them reach the higher socio-economic ladder. The Policy also aims to adopt a uniform approach in carrying out these measures and reducing adverse risks of project implementation thus ensuring smooth operation of project. This Policy shall provide a guideline in implementing the project and establishing coordination among various ministries on land acquisition issues.
