AASCTF Smart Cities – Inclusive Cities Capacity Building Program - Module 2 Report: Urban Safety and Security

This report covers the second module of the AASCTF Inclusive Cities Dialogues on “Urban Safety and Security”, which consisted of three dialogues held on 12 and 19 May and 1 June 2022. The dialogues are part of the Smart Cities – Inclusive Cities Capacity Building Program of the ASEAN Australia Smart Cities Trust Fund (AASCTF).

The dialogues provide a platform for discussing the potential for planning and implementing more inclusive cities in the ASEAN region, as well as ways to galvanize reform and strengthen gender equality and social inclusion so as to uplift the lives of the marginalized.

This report presents the design and delivery of the dialogues, background of the participants, as well the participating speakers and their presentations. Priority issues affecting urban safety and possible opportunities for change are also included, along with key lessons and the next steps for the dialogues.
