The Cambodia Rural Roads Improvement Project implemented the “Ready for Roads” behavior change communication (BCC) campaign to increase women’s demand for road work, convince contractors to hire women, and government officials to promote equal gender access to road jobs. This project showcased how BCC interventions, when integrated well in a project, can help deliver gender and social equity targets, and win the support of government and local stakeholders.
