Isira holds over two decades of diversified industry experience in senior leadership capacity on digital mobility and digital payments enabling service inclusion. He carries hands on experience on market dynamics and consumer behaviors supporting equal opportunity.
At PickMe he is responsible for all operational activities and key business verticals as the Chief Operating Officer. PickMe is the Sri Lankas premier ride hailing service developed locally and the current market leader in the Sri Lankas mobility space. PickMe is considered the most successful startup in the country in the recent past.
Prior to joining PickMe, he headed mobile money and international remittances at Dialog Axiata PLC, Sri Lanka’s premier connectivity provider. He has held several leadership positions at Dialog and was a key member of the team which launched eZ Cash, Dialog Axiata’s flagship mobile money platform. He has also served as an ERP specialist at IFS and Informatics.
Isira holds an MSc in Information Technology, BSc is Business Studies, DipM ACIM, PMP and CSM.
