Professor Jim Hall FREng is a Professor of Climate and Environmental Risks at the University of Oxford. His research focuses on the management of climate-related risks in infrastructure systems. He leads the UK Infrastructure Transitions Research Consortium, which has developed the world’s first national and global infrastructure simulation models for appraisal of national infrastructure investment and risks. He is a member of the UK Prime Minister’s Council for Science and Technology and is chair of the Scientific Advisory Committee at the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA). He served on the UK independent Committee on Climate Change Adaptation for 10 years.
