How Does Unpaid Care Work Affects Women’s Opportunities and Gender Equality? Findings of the "Care, Gender, and Inclusive Growth in the People’s Republic of China" Project
This presentation summarized the findings of a project entitled “The Care Economy, Gender, and Inclusive Growth”. The project was sponsored by the International Development Research Centre of Canada that involved a total of 17 Chinese economists. This presentation mainly answered questions on how PRC's ongoing socioeconomic transformation reshapes the institutional arrangements of care for children and elders, and how the changing care economy affect women's opportunities and gender equality in the labor market.
