In this presentation, Dr. Oyun Sanjaasuren discussed global and regional water security risks and challenges. She also shared how partnerships at the country, regional, and global levels can help address these issues, highlighting the impact and outcomes of Global Water Partnership (GWP) efforts from 1996 to 2016 and her experience in buiding water partnerships in her home-country, Mongolia. Dr. Oyun currently serves as GWP Chair and was the first president of the United Nations Environment Assembly from 2014 to 2016.
