Over 60 participants composed of member countries and economies of the Anti-Corruption Initiative for Asia-Pacific (ACI), development partners, and observer countries participated in the 24th Steering Group Meeting held on 17 December 2020. Steering group members welcomed Azerbaijan and Georgia as new members of the ACI; discussed the ACI’s achievements in the implementation of Work Program 2018-2020; planned the ACI’s Work Program for 2021-2023; and learned from country experiences and best practices of country members and development partners. The 2 ½ - hour virtual meeting was opened by Jeffrey Schlagenhauf, Deputy Secretary-General of OECD and concluded by Lisa D. Kelaart-Courtney, Director of the Office of Anticorruption and Integrity, ADB. 

The 24^th Steering Group Meeting marked the completion of ACI’s work program 2018-2020 achievements and laid out plans for a 3-year work program 2021-2023 in accordance with its strategic principles encompassing 3 work streams: public integrity; law enforcement; and business integrity. Feedback from participants showed keen interest in learning from the experiences, good practices, and updates from country members and development partners. Discussions on the initial findings of the stocktaking of anticorruption regional initiatives and capacity development needs provided inputs to the 3-year work program 2021-2023 being developed for the ACI.

The ACI is the largest peer-learning network composed of 33 member countries and economies, supporting national and multilateral efforts to address and reduce corruption in Asia and the Pacific. ADB and OECD serve as its Secretariat.
