Ms. Iris Seet is the Deputy Dean of ITE Academy, Institute of Technical Education where she is responsible for building a culture of pedagogic excellence through the professional development of ITE teachers, and promoting discipline-specific pedagogies (DSP) for work-based learning in ITE. With more than 35 years of experience in the Institute of Technical Education (ITE), her varied portfolios include teaching, then as Director of the Business School, ITE East, and finally, as Senior Director responsible for formulating policies and overseeing the national TVET curriculum planning and development of courses for school leavers and adult workers. In recognition of her contributions in TVET, she was conferred the Public Administration Medal (Silver) by the Singapore Government. Ms. Seet graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Second Class Upper Honours degree in Bachelor of Arts and Social Sciences. She got a master’s degree in Instructional Systems Design from the Florida State University, USA.
