Event: ADB Data Room: ASEAN Australia Smart Cities Trust Fund AASCTF Thematic Brochures: Activating Place View File The thematic brochures of the ASEAN Australia Smart Cities Trust Fund (AASCTF) are a three-part series of stories from the field, centered on sharing AASCTF’s impact across three fundamental areas: people, place, and partnerships. Using these as lenses, urban planners and practitioners can find evidence and inspiration to create smarter and more livable cities. "Activating Place"—the second of AASCTF's three impact areas, sandwiched between "Empowering People" and "Convening Partnerships"—is all about transforming how cities plan and develop urban spaces, integrating resilience and enabling seamless services so people can thrive. Since 2019, AASCTF has deployed digital technologies and strategies to support local governments as they seek to realize their cities’ potential. The examples in this thematic brochure are just some of the stories that demonstrate this impact area. AASCTF is financed by the Australian Government through the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, managed by the Asian Development Bank, and implemented by Ramboll.
