The ASEAN Australia Smart Cities Trust Fund's (AASCTF) pilot project in Penang involves the development of a transport micro-simulation model of the historical center of Georgetown, intended to be used to assess future mobility interventions such as public transport, traffic improvements, pedestrianization, and cycling improvements. This survey report outlines the survey methodologies and results of the traffic, parking, and origin-destination data surveys carried out by the project team. It also describes how the survey data will be utilized to provide an accurate representation of the transportation environment in Georgetown for traffic planning and model simulation development.
