There is a strong demand for contingent financing in the Pacific. Gaps in quick-disbursing funds, acculumation of indirect costs over time, and rapid prioritzation of needs increase demand for this type of financing. This presentation shares Tonga's experience in the utilization of contingent financing after Cyclone Gita hit the country in February 2018.
