State-owned water supply company TWC of Taipei,China, has implemented various strategies to reduce its non-revenue water. To manage water pressure efficiently, it installed variable-frequency drives in its water treatment plants and pumping stations, established water pressure monitoring stations, and installed pressure-reducing valves (PRV). To reduce water loss, it implemented an annual water loss detection plan and established and maintained District Metered Areas (DMAs). These strategies helped reduce non-revenue water from 32.68% (2004) to 23.59% (2017) and pipe burst frequency from 0.392 (2011) to 0.269 (2017).
