How can socioeconomic development be balanced with sustainable environmental protection? This is the key question addressed by the presentation, particularly in line with the implementation of eco-compensation in the river basins of the People’s Republic of China. Learn about the progress, challenges, and key issues of pilot projects in Fujian Province, Jiangsu Province, and Xin’anjiang Basin. Several instructions, guidance, and policies have been promulgated to establish and promote trans-regional eco-compensation mechanism between the upstream and downstream river basins.
