This presentation analyzes Korea’s economic challenges and how the research activities of the Korea Institute of Finance (KIF) helped address these. KIF contributed several technical reports to better manage household debt problem; provided research outputs on macro-prudential policies to address volatile capital flows; and conducted researches on new business model development to help financial firms overcome stagnating profitability.
