This Manual on Environmental Safeguards has been developed thru Asian Development Bank (ADB) technical assistance1 and based on two workshops: (i) 1stworkshop was organized in Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar on 10 October 2014; and (ii) 2ndworkshop was organized in Mandalay City, Myanmar on 13-14 October 2014. The content of this manual is largely derived from the workshop proceedings as well as contributions and recommendations provided by the participants2 based on their experiences and day-to-day work.
