The Asian Development Bank’s Office of Safeguards conducted a 4-day training on Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) for the various executing and implementing agencies (EAs/IAs) of ADB-funded projects in Islamabad, Pakistan entitled ‘Training on Occupational Health and Safety in Pakistan.’
The training convened relevant executing and implementing agencies’ officials to provide overview of ADB’s policy requirements to ensure the successful implementation of development projects, with a specific focus on Pakistan. The training consisted of two main components: i) a comprehensive three-day in-house training session that will discuss existing OHS best practices and challenges in ADB-financed projects within Pakistan, and ii) a structured site visit in between, designed to practically apply the knowledge gained during the sessions.
