Series: ADB Data Room: Pakistan Resident Mission's Capacity Development Resource Center (PRM CDRC) Training on Construction Contract Management based on FIDIC Red Book 2017 22 to 24 July 2025 The proposed training was for the executing and implementing agencies that have been using, or intend to use, FIDIC Red Book 2017 based contract in infrastructure projects. ADB’s standard bidding documents (SBD) for large works contracts are based on conditions of contract based on FIDIC Red Book 2017. Additionally, the training was expected to be helpful to other relevant government agencies related to ADB operations. The 3-day training covered fundamental concepts of FIDIC Red Book 2017, with focus on roles and responsibilities of the employer, contractor and the engineer, and key contractual mechanisms, including contractual dispute resolution. The training explored the relation between FIDIC Red Book 2017 and ADB’s SBDs, including case studies relevant to Pakistan.
