FIDIC Gold Book Training on ADB-Funded Projects

24 October 2023 to 25 October 2023

Pakistan Resident Mission, under the CDRC initiative, conducted a two-day training on the FIDIC Gold Book (Design, Build, and Operate (DBO) modality) at Islamabad from 24 to 25 October 2023. CDRC PRM organized the training.

The 2-day interactive training equipped the participants with practical tools in an integrated way in planning, designing, and implementing projects on a DBO basis under the FIDIC Gold Book 2008 form of contact. The DBO model focuses on a single point of responsibility (for design, construction, and operation) with a focus on the life cycle costing approach. It is considered an innovative approach to project delivery, especially when the projects are multi-faceted and complicated undertakings. This training, therefore, equipped the EAs/IAs to manage such a specialized undertaking efficiently.
