East Asia Forum Series 20 April 2022 to 21 October 2023 The ADB East Asia Department (EARD) organized the East Asia Forum (EAF) to share lessons from EARD operations and knowledge work with a wider audience. The EAF highlights East Asia’s efforts in providing innovative and sustainable solutions to climate change, provides an opportunity to exchange ideas and practices in critical areas of climate transition among key stakeholders in Asia and the Pacific. Sharing lessons from East Asia’s decarbonization initiatives will help other developing countries in carving their own net-zero pathways. Towards this end, EAF focuses on the crucial elements of climate transition, and presents what East Asian economies have learned in experimenting with new approaches and technologies in air pollution management, developing carbon-neutral cities, and low-carbon rural development. This annual flagship event, cohosted with the Asian Development Bank Institute, RKSI, and other agencies, is open to the public, and those in the field of decarbonization and low-carbon development – policymakers, relevant ministries, and related industry participants – are encouraged to attend.
