A Deeper Dive into the Playbook for Nature-Positive Infrastructure Development
26 September 2024

The Playbook for Nature-Positive Infrastructure Development is a strategic guide jointly developed by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), Federation Internationale des Ingenieurs-Conseils/International or Federation of Consulting Engineers (FIDIC), and AECOM, a leading global consulting engineering firm. Introduced to an ADB audience earlier in 2024, this session aimed to delve deeper into how nature-positive infrastructure could be developed and implemented, providing a detailed look at external projects. The main speaker for the session was Michel Oosterwegel, Environmental Manager for the construction firm Boskalis, a company known for its efforts and commitment to utilizing nature-positive infrastructure in several of its projects, both in developing Asia and around the world. Boskalis is a member of Ecoshape, a network of organizations and individuals with the goal of advancing the implementation of nature-based solutions.
