CSO Conversations: “Nothing About Us, Without Us”: Meaningful Disability Engagement in ADB Infrastructure and Social Development Projects
12 August 2026

Philippines

Civil society organizations (CSOs) and organizations of people with disabilities (OPDs) from Indonesia, Mongolia and the United Kingdom will examine how meaningful disability engagement can be achieved across Asian Development Bank (ADB) infrastructure and social development projects, in this webinar jointly presented by ADB’s NGO and Civil Society Center and the Poverty and Social Analysis and Disability Inclusion Team under the Fragility and Engagement Division.

The CSO Conversations webinar "Nothing About Us, Without Us": Meaningful Disability Engagement in ADB Infrastructure and Social Development Projects features two case studies on OPD engagement in ADB-financed projects. The first examines Indonesia's Ministry of Transportation Disability Inclusion Hub—an institutionalized mechanism embedded within the implementing agency—as part of ADB's Sustainable Infrastructure Assistance Program Phase II. The second draws on Mongolia’s Ensuring Inclusiveness and Service Delivery for Persons with Disabilities project.  The Global Disability Innovation Hub, based at University College London, will also contribute perspectives on the essential role of OPD engagement in inclusive design, and what the evidence says about how OPD engagement strengthens project outcomes.

CSO Conversations is a webinar series showcasing how civil society contributes as a critical development partner in ADB-financed projects.
