11 June 2026

On 11 June, ADB formally turned over the digital connectivity component of the EdTech Solutions for Last Mile Schools in COVID-19 Project to the Department of Education (DepEd). Supported by the High-Level Technology Fund through the technical assistance Expanding Connectivity and Affordability to Address the Digital Divide, the initiative provided satellite-based internet connectivity, school networks, and digital devices to 21 beneficiary schools in Abra, Kalinga, Bohol, and Zamboanga Sibugay. The turnover marks a key milestone in expanding digital access and supporting more inclusive, resilient, and future-ready education for learners in underserved communities.
