ADB and Civil Society: 20 Years and Beyond

29 August 2022

Since the late 1980s, ADB has worked closely with civil society organizations in the design and implementation of development projects. Meaningful engagement with civil society has helped the bank increase its efforts to reduce poverty and increase the effectiveness, quality, and sustainability of its operations.

In celebration of 20 Years of Collaboration between ADB and Civil Society, let us all look back on ADB’s relationship with civil society organizations over the past two decades since the NGO and Civil Society Center’s founding, as well as looking forward to the future of civil society collaboration into the coming years in support of its Strategy 2030.
