Accelerating e-commerce in the new normal
The 17th Policy Actions for COVID-19 Economic Recovery (PACER) Dialogue on “Accelerating e-commerce in the new normal” featured policy options and global good practice examples to help countries foster an enabling environment in the medium and long-term as they mitigate COVID-19 impacts and accelerate recovery and rejuvenation in e-commerce development. Over 80 government officials and private sector representatives from Southeast Asia and the People’s Republic of China participated in the Dialogue, sharing country experience on e-commerce policies and solutions taken to mitigate the negative effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The 17th PACER Dialogue aimed to:
- promote improved understanding of policies and solutions that can accelerate e-commerce in the post COVID-19 new normal;
- disseminate global practices and lessons including e-commerce cooperation in ASEAN, and country and private sector experiences; and,
- provide a platform for policy makers, development planners, and e-commerce practitioners to share knowledge and experience and collaboratively learn from each other.
