Takashi Yamano

Profile / Bio: 

Takashi Yamano is a Principal Economist at Economic Research and Regional Development at ADB. His current responsibilities include managing and conducting impact evaluation studies, reviewing Economic Analysis of project proposals, and producing economic diagnostic studies.

Prior to joining ADB in 2017, he worked as Impact Assessment Specialist at the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI) in 2011-2017. He taught postgraduate courses at the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS) in Tokyo, Japan, in 2002-2011. He worked as a consultant at the World Bank in 2000-2002.

He obtained a joint Ph.D. in Economics and Agricultural Economics at Michigan State University in 2000.
