Mr. Dinesh Kumar Ghimire is former Secretary of the Ministry of Energy, Government of Nepal. He has been associated with the power sector of Nepal for more than three decades. He led many bilateral and regional negotiation meetings with neighboring countries like India, Bangladesh and China in water and Power issues. As a result of his tactical bilateral negotiations, building of cross border infrastructures and power trade between Nepal and India/Bangladesh are gaining momentum. He is currently engaged in ADB as a Senior Hydropower Policy Advisor. Ghimire received his M. Tech. in Hydroelectric System Engineering and Management from the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, India, and his undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering from Rajasthan University, Jaipur, India.
