Hideaki Iwase is a Project Formulation Advisor with Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Fiji Office. He has over 15 years of experience in infrastructure development project such as urban development and transport projects with JICA. Currently, he oversees JICA’s infrastructure related project in the pacific region including Fiji, Kiribati, Tuvalu, and Nauru.

Marcus, a German national, joined GCF as a Senior Urban Sector Specialist. He has more than 15+ years of experience in urban development, gained in local, national and international organizations. He is joining us from the African Development Bank (AfDB), where he was working in the Infrastructure and Urban Development Department as the coordinator of the Bank’s Urban and Municipal Development Fund.

With 12+ years of experience in implementing city planning & infrastructure projects of over $26Bn, Suraj Nandakumar shares a deep interest in transforming cities and its dynamic with waste, especially plastics, through Recity. 

Suraj has been instrumental in shaping Recity’s journey to deliver impact through integrated circular waste management projects across 12+ cities in India by strategically fostering cross-value chain collaborations. 

He is a social worker and an Engineer by profession. He is the current president of Association of Consulting Engineers Pakistan. He is based in Karachi.
