Private Sector Development, Trade Promotion, and Regional Integration in Asia: The Experience of the International Trade Centre

ADB's Trade Finance Program

This seminar discussed the objectives and results of Asian Development Bank's Trade Finance Program. The program has partnered with 90 developing member country banks and 120 non-developing member country banks in 86 countries. In 2012, the program supported $4 billion worth of transactions. The program helps introduce international banks to new markets, create new partnerships for co-financing in the most challenging markets, and promote south-south trade.

Regional Economic Integration: Perspectives from Four Continents

Based on takeaways from the Peer-to-Peer Learning Event organized by GIZ on 14 to 16 January 2013 in Berlin, Germany, this seminar provided snapshots of the history, progress, and current landscape of regional integration in Latin America, Africa, and Europe. It concluded with a presentation on best practices of regional integration in each of the regions, including Asia.
