This presentation gave an overview of the Republic of Korea's national target for GHG reduction, as well as its national research and development budget for its climate change initiatives in 2018. In this presentation, Mr. Bambang Susantono introduced the theme of ACEF 2019: Partnering for Impact, by focusing on the role of all stakeholders in partnering to deliver a truly sustainable energy future that can enable better development outcomes for Asia and the Pacific.

In this presentation, ADB's Woochong Um highlighted ADB's commitment to reduce the bank's carbon emissions from its operations. In particular, he highlighted that ADB procured certified emission reductions (CERs) from the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) project registered by the UNFCCC to offset the estimated carbon emissions from participant-related travel for the Forum.

In this presentation, Mr. Michael Barrow gave an overview of ADB's Pacific Renewable Energy Project. The project encourages private sector investment in renewable energy. It also mitigates short-term liquidity risk, through donor-backed standby letter of credit, and supports long-term investment, through partial risk guarantee.

From diesel and bunker-fueled electricity sources, HSS has been introducing solar-powered products that are not only safe and sustainable but also increase an individual's productivity and capacity to earn more income.
