Overview of TWC’s Water Loss Management and Smart Water Management

State-owned water supply company TWC of Taipei,China, has implemented various strategies to reduce its non-revenue water. To manage water pressure efficiently, it installed variable-frequency drives in its water treatment plants and pumping stations, established water pressure monitoring stations, and installed pressure-reducing valves (PRV). To reduce water loss, it implemented an annual water loss detection plan and established and maintained District Metered Areas (DMAs).
